Criterion 3.4.9, based on feedback from the stakeholder consultation round in September 2024 and input from Fair Rubber supplier partners in November 2024, states:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From 31 December 2020 onward, rubber plantations and farms must not cause degradation to, or conversion of, natural forests or other natural ecosystems into agricultural production or other land uses.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n To ensure compliance, this criterion requires the preparation of management plans and supporting documents to demonstrate sustainable practices, the implementation of field observations to confirm adherence, and the use of remote sensing technology and geocoordinates for precise monitoring and tracking of plantations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A guidance document<\/strong> has been provided to support implementation.
